Lubricating Bases
AVERAGE PARAFFIN BASE
Technical Information
The main application of lubricating bases is the manufacture of lubricating oils for both automotive use (Carter type oils) and for uses in industry.
Paraffinic bases are preferred for the manufacture of high viscosity index oils.
They are also used as a raw material for the manufacture of inks, petrolatums, or as a softening agent for fuel.
